My name is Dayton Pereira, I’m the co-founder and Creative Director here at Indusblue. I started this company in 2002 with my brother and business partner, Darren Pereira. It was a time when the online industry exploded (in a bad way) with layoffs at almost every corner. We too were the result of those layoffs. With $3000 between us and the belief that we could do online better than our former employers we started Indusblue.
When you start a company you have to wear several hats so I have been a programmer, designer, information architect, producer, new business developer (which thankfully is now Darren's responsibility) and pretty much everything in between. I have never considered myself to be "just" a designer because there are better designers than I am, and not a programmer because there are way better programmers than I am. Instead, I have been an aficionado of both worlds the art and science. So imagine an ones and zeros guy that is particular about the type setting of the numbers and the kerning between them. It turns out that those are the traits of a creative director in an interactive agency.
Since we started I have been very fortunate to have some of the most remarkable and talented individuals work at our company and produce what I consider some of the most successful campaigns in this city. We have won several awards for our work which I am very proud of but my crowning glory will be to build the greatest company to work for while producing the greatest work in the world, 'cause at the end of the day this company is built on the people that work here.
